I have been painting and drawing since I was a little girl. I enjoy painting with acrylics mostly. I like anything creative. I enjoy decorating and flower arranging as well. I have painted everything from store front windows, murals, t-shirts, paintings, wooden furniture...and now gourds!

   I started painting gourds in 1990 when my Uncle grew them in his garden and delivered a huge bag on my doorstep. He knew that I painted and participated in art festivals and craft events. I seriously was going to throw them out. They were dirty and moldy. I read up on how to clean them and cleaned one and looked at it for hours thinking what could I make out of this? The particular variety of gourd was perfect for a cat I thought.....and the rest is history. I paint many gourd shapes. There are over 40 gourd varieties. The more I painted them, the more creative I became. Now I love to paint gourds. Each one is unique and can work for different ideas that I have.

   I grew up in Virginia and moved to Maryland in 2002. I participate in Art Festivals and Craft Shows in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvannia and Delaware.
